  • Howdy.

    Kinda nice outside.

    Got a gig tonight.

We are appearing LIVE tonight in an acoustic showcase featuring Harrison Fine, Jeff Greenway, Kyla Tingley, and, my band Vedette.

The venue is C'est What... it's at Front & Church, go downstairs, hang a right...

I love the micro-brewed beers and the INSANE selection.
And the food makes some people freak out with joy.  Me, for instance.
I've never been more comfortable and chilled out anywhere.

It's gonna be like 6 or 7 degrees outside AT NIGHT.
    Today's gonna be alright.

  • I'm not writing a lot here these days... just busy I guess.

I've spent a couple of days in the studio recording some new material.  If you want to hear some very rough drafts of some of our original material go have a listen at www.myspace.com/vedettecanada and let me know what you think.  Even if you've got constructive criticism or just plain love/hate it let me know.  I've got thick skin, and I'm curious to know what you think... it's nearly impossible for me to be objective anymore with my own material.

In the meantime, I hope all is well out there.  It's freezing here in Toronto and all I want is some sweet sweet sunshine.  Gimme gimme.

  • So busy.

Looking for new jobs, band, life, work... gets crazy around here sometimes.  Never enough time to put together a string of thoughts and descramble them enough to form a blog, really.

    Time to plug my band:

Vedette appears tonight at C'est What for their 1st show of 2009. Joining Vedette on the bill are 2 very exciting acts: opening up is Rehan Dalal (a soulful, sultry singer songwriter joined by Jeff Greenway on keys) and the rootsy, rockin' , show-stoppin' Pilgrims of Brock close out the show.

Tonight promises to be an epic evening of ecclectic and energized music. Helping the buzz on stage is the ridiculous number of delicious craft beers on tap and wines to write home about, not to mention the unmatched warmth and ambiance of the room itself. If you've never been to C'est What, tonight would be your ideal chance to take in 1st class homegrown music and a 1st class venue.

    About the Venue:

C'est What is located at the south east corner of Front and Church, downstairs.

  • Happy New Year!

Tonight I'm going to a good friends place to ring in the new year in style.   Should be ridiculous.

Looking forward to 2009.  Not sure what's going to happen, with so much up in the air these days.  But that's cool.  Certainty is boring, and opportunity comes in all kinds of packages.  2009 should be jam-packed full of opportunities.

    See you there.
